Thank Goodness Tomorrow Marks Week #4...
... and let's hope that 4 weeks really is the magic number!
The next milestone in our overall healing process is an upcoming Ortho appointment. We are to follow up at 4 weeks for another round of x-rays and such to determine whether or not Abby can safely put weight on her left leg. While it is still a bit swollen and bruised, the real test really is how healed her pelvis is. Given that the anniversary of week #4 falls on Friday and it wasn't possible to get an appointment on Friday, we went with the next available appointment which happens to be next Tuesday. We were hoping that a couple of extra days would help seal the deal for good news!
I sure hope she is healed enough because...
Today she fell out of her wheel chair!
At recess!
Playing "bat tag"!
The story goes something like "Molly's (older) brother was pushing me and we weren't it!" I asked if she was having fun. She giggled and said yes!
And here we thought the wheel chair would have been a safer option at recess. It sounds like her entire cushion fell out with her so she landed on that and not directly onto the black top. Thank goodness!
I knew we should have rigged up our own seat belt.
