The Great Debate
The great debate amongst the small people in our house... "Are dandelions flowers or weeds?"
Without doing any research (I mean really, it is a dandelion) we've tried to convince them that it would be okay to consider them both as a flower and a weed. That classification seems most appropriate.
They aren't having any of it. Spencer is dead set convinced they are definitley flowers and are most definitely not weeds. Ellie is equally convinced they are strictly weeds. No amount of our imput is going to change their minds.
I see this debate continuing as long as the dandelions remain prolific.

Either way, did you know you can make Dandilion Syrup from them? Just read it on another blog.
They are weeds to people who garden (not me) and flowers to those of use that just like picking them!!
I think they're weeds but Erik thinks they're flowers. And it was hard to argue when he picked one for Kim and one for me and gave them to us today. :)
well either way they are Harriet's rabbit cinnamons favourite so we let them grow here just for him
Dandilions are flowers to my kids, weeds to me. LOL!
One man's flower is another man's weed. They are actually edible, so maybe they are food?
