Swimming Lessons - Round 2
The girls have been enjoying another session of swimming lessons, and I mean thoroughly enjoying it. Tonight was the last class of this session and I think the girls will miss it.
We did opt to re-enroll them in the preschool class that they had taken the prior session. They had done well in that class, they had a great time, and they had graduated to the next level. But we felt that their comfort level could use a little boost. We also opted to enroll in a class that met a couple times a week thinking the closer frequency would be beneficial to their confidence levels.
Wow... what a difference between their previous session and this session. It hasn't even dawned on them that they are taking the same. Or if it has, they haven't cared. It is so much fun to see their confidence levels blossom like they have. Though, in the last few classes maybe they have gotten a bit too confident and cocky!
They willingly and freely go completely with their entire body submerged under water and pop up with huge smiles on their faces. Their favorite game appears to be ring around the rosy, with the noodle train coming in a close second. They also love when it is time to jump in at the end of class. As a bonus, this teacher lets them jump in several times.
They had a boy teacher this session. They warmed up to him rather quickly and it has been an excellent experience for them. Of course he appears to be on the goofy side with them and they all have thoroughly enjoyed that. The term goofball has a definite presence in their vocabulary now.
We'll definitely enroll them in the next level for the next session we participate in, probably after the first of the year.
