First Big Boy Haircut
It seemed to be time. It was time. It felt like the right thing to do. But it felt so hard and we miss the curls so so much.
Friday, September 1st marks the date of Spencer's first haircut. The day he made the transition from looking like a baby to looking like a little boy. He was 16 months old, exactly 1/2 the age of his sisters age when they experienced their first haircut.
Spencer wasn't sure about the process of getting a haircut. He started by sitting on Mommy's lap. When they stylist made the first cut he looked at her as if to say "What are you doing to my head?". He quickly moved back and forth, from Mommy to Momma and from sitting to standing. When all was done (done enough that is), she probably cut about 6" of wild hair off our little guy's head.
The before picture actually shows his hair under control. On a normal day it was generally wild with curls pointing in every direction.

wow. big change from baby to boy with a snip of the scissors!
Toby's hair is a complete mess. it's long...and thin...and wispy. and this past weekend, Cindy took a scissors to his bangs so he could see.
so now, it's long, thin, wispy, with jagged bangs.
i've got a fantasy that i return from CA (i'm at a conference) and pick him up from school on friday and find that his hair has been cut. and then i cry.
i'm guessing it's NOT going to happen. Cindy is just not ready for him to transition to boyhood. i completely understand.
He's beautiful!!!
Very cute! He has got good hair. He still has more than my 2 1/2 year old!
