Christmas Eve Moments
Memorable moments...
Its Christmas Eve day and we are busily trying to get ready to go. The day is not going as planned, but when does it? We were taking it all in stride and going with the flow. It was Christmas; I was not going to get worked up over anything.
The kids were definitely in cahoots and working against us... all 3 of them. This is when we question our logic of having 3 kids ages 3 and under. Then it hits us, we realize that we were far less ready to go than we thought. That's when we discovered that several of the gifts weren't wrapped as we had thought. The night before we had gone down a mental checklist of what was done and needed to be done before heading off to bed at 1am. Guess we can't rely on our minds that late at night. So much for being "on top of it" this year.
Here comes the memorable moment. Amongst it all, Abby decided that it would be a perfect day for a haircut. I can still hear it in my mind... the moment that Carie discovered Abby under the kitchen table with scissors and a clump of hair. The upside, it was her own hair this time.
Though it was much later than we had hoped, we made it to our Christmas celebration just fine and had an enjoyable afternoon and evening. The kids received some wonderful gifts. The girls' were over the moon excited about their gifts and can't wait to play with them all. They can't stop talking about their new horses, which are really unicorns. To Spencer, it was just another day though he has really enjoyed playing with his new toys.

Yes, where are the pictures of the new haircut, lol. I'm glad even after all that that everyone had such a good time.
