Vacation - AMEN!

Ever since the boy has turned 2, it appears to be my role to accompany him through his bedtime routine.

Once we get to his room we collect the various paci's. We turn on his fan that provides nice background noise. We turn on his light and then sit in the rocker to read various books of his choosing. Most recently he's been interested in "Jesus Books" as Ellie would call them. I'll read a little and Spencer will say "AMEN!" here and there - often in appropriate places.

Somehow we've also gotten into singing Johnny Appleseed (similar to this), which he requests "again" and "again". Between his giggles and smiles he tries to sing with me. There is something about that song that he loves so much.

Then recently I've been throwing out the word vacation and talking about what a vacation is. I don't think Spencer has ever been to a hotel before & we are planning on being away for a couple of days this upcoming weekend.

So the other night Spencer says "Vacation, AMEN!"

Exactly!

AMEN for vacations, but Mr. Spencer HAS been to a hotel before, right here in good old St. Louis! :) He doesn't remember that one, but may this next time. Hope this weekend is awesome!
