Hello Sun & Swimming
We finally put the swimming pool up. For the first time. In the final days of June! Hello sunshine!

The kids were of course way excited. Ellie really wanted us to take her picture looking through the side of the pool.
We could have put it up one or maybe two days sooner than we did. Unfortunately they had to wait for Mommy & Momma to finish their deck project! We've typically had the pool up for nearly a month by now. We've always had a pool up for Abby & Ellie's birthday party! But this year any sooner and it would have been just too darn cold. Thankfully they've been able to use the sprinkler on a couple of occasions to get their water fix.
More pool fun this afternoon... They discovered that they could shoot water a great distance out the end of a pool noodle. Spencer called this his water fireworks. Everything is about fireworks these days. They are so excited about the upcoming weekend!

It would seem that Abby didn't get to play in the pool, but she did. She has spent a lot of time in the pool, most of which has been underwater!
They also got to start swimming lessons yesterday. I'm so glad we signed them up for indoor lessons. They were so cold during outdoor lessons last year and this year has been even cooler. Unfortunately the program we are in now is for ages 5 and up so Spencer is a spectator while the 4 older kids are in lessons. Thankfully he is doing great with that role. Their class sizes are small so Abby, Ellie, B&B are all in the same class and they make up the whole class. It sounds like they are having a great time!
