Marathon Christmas 2006

Our marathon Christmas celebrations began on Christmas Eve day and continued through New Years Eve.

We had an opportunity to celebrate this wonderful holiday with both of our immediate families and my large extended family. We also were blessed to spend Christmas Day creating our family traditions and memories with our kids.

As the girls get older they are getting more involved in creating their Christmas wish list. As I’m sure is the case with many other 4 1/2 year olds, their "list" had frequent revisions, most of which were additions. The awesome thing though was that they weren't ever disappointed about something they didn't get. Mommy & Momma, Santa, and their family were gracious and they received bountiful gifts, for which they are thankful.

After Christmas the wishing continued as they'd see more cool things. We'd hear from Abby "but I always wanted that for Christmas", as she realized that this magical holiday was past us. She said it in such a cute way! Then we would remind her that she could look forward to her birthday.

This holiday season it seems that we created more mental memories and took fewer photos. But, of the photos we did take, here are my favorites. The girls are working on a project and Spencer is just being cute.
