Snow

This morning we woke to the first snow of the season.

The girls' were beyond excited and were shouting, "there's snow on our house, there's snow on our house" this morning before school.

The great thing is that the pavement is still warm enough that it isn't sticking so no scooping required... yet. The other great thing is that we managed to get all our outdoor stuff out of the elements and into storage for the season… just this past weekend.

They also woke up to several other surprises... a special breakfast treat (processed muffins), new gloves, and new snow boots. They were beyond excited!

Mommy & Momma (and Spencer too) went shopping last night while the girls' were with our beloved sitter. One of the many perks of recently resigning from the board of our local parents group. We aren't continuing to surround ourselves with folks that have been driving us beyond nuts (see previous post) AND we have a sitter lined up so we get to go out... together... to do whatever we want to do. She's already booked to come next month too.

We didn't even have to feel guilty about missing the meeting last night. Our excitement last night was shopping for winter apparel and grocery shopping. Yahoo! While it was rather nice to accomplish these tasks without the girls', I hope to report more exciting outings in the future.

Aww! Sounds like a fun morning. I love it when the kids are hyped up for something like snow and new snow stuff!

Congrats for hanging onto your monthly sitter! Moms need to get away together.
