The Girls' Department

Carie just called to tell me that they are at Target and have discovered the girls' department. I guess there are some exciting things that we may soon own.

I'm told that the girls' are particularly interested in the belts (the reason for the trip), Cinderella gloves, princess jammies, and fancy panties.

Carie is thinking it is going to be really hard to leave without the Cinderella gloves. Maybe they could find new winter coats while they are at it. Thankfully, for now, their coats from last year still fit... but not for long. Hopefully they can resist the jammies since they already have a plethora of them, thanks to their Momma who is addicted to jammies. Panties, I don't know what it is about panties but these girls' can go through a zillion of them in a week. I think their goal is to empty their drawer so they can say they wore them all. It's not like we are blowing through them due to accidents, it's more of a hobby. Maybe she can divert their attention to selecting tights; we actually "need" tights.

Just got another call requesting my opinion on belts. Mommy has selected "practical" belts and the girls' (Ellie in particular) have selected a pink leopard print belt. Mommy wants to know what Momma would do... as Ellie’s pleading her case... "but pink is my very favorite color". Shall be interesting to see what we end up with. My guess... pink leopard print.

Ack... our girls' are really growing up and are able to wear things from the "girls" department, when did THAT happen?
