The boy is growing again

It's only fitting that the first real post be about "the boy", aka Spencer, our newest addition to the family. For his entire life in utero we (his moms') referred to him as "the boy". Not sure that anyone else in the family "got it" as they kept trying to find a proper name for him. He was and still is "the boy" to us. His sisters have many of their own nicknames for him.

He's 15 weeks old and is really hamming it up. His smiles are contagious! We are really getting to know this easy going guy and have fallen head over heals for him.

The point of this post was to say that he continues to grow like crazy. We have no experience with this as our girls' are peanuts, and if they continue their eating habits, they will continue to be peanuts. At any rate, last night the boy was up quite frequently (midnight, 3:00, 4:30, 6:00) acting like we are starving him. All this after he ate like crazy leading up to bedtime. On a normal night... he'd wake once around 3:30ish, give or take 1/2 hour.

We are putting 6-9m outfits on this 3 1/2m old boy and even they won't be fitting for long. Really, we ought to skip right over 6-9m stuff and go right to 12m stuff. I'm hoping beyond hope that some of the 12m stash of cool clothes we have for him can be worn at some point this winter. On the upside, his big boy convertible car seat arrives on Friday. He'll without a doubt hit the 2olb & 26" mark by his 4m checkup. No more infant seat for this guy. Thanks to our friend and car seat expert, E.; we got in on an awesome deal on a great car seat.
